Clive Davis, Stevie Wonder, Kevin Costner & Others Line Up To Remember Whitney Houston At Funeral

Music mogul Clive Davis, actor Kevin Costner and singers Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys were among those who gathered to remember the life of tragic superstar Whitney Houston during a private funeral service in her native New Jersey on Saturday.

With flags at half mast across the state, grieving friends and family members shuffled inside the singer's childhood place of worship, the New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark to mourn the loss of the music icon.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, Houston's 18-year-old child with ex-husband Bobby Brown, her cousin Dionne Warwick and mother Cissy were all in attendance and the gospel veteran shared her final message to her daughter inside the funeral's program.

It read, "I never told you that when you were born, the Holy Spirit told me that you would not be with me long. And I thank God for the beautiful flower he allowed me to raise and cherish for 48 years. Rest, my baby girl, in peace."

Houston's on/off boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J, and his sister Brandy were also present for the memorial, while New Edition star Bobby Brown made a brief appearance before leaving just 20 minutes later with two of his children from previous relationships in tow.

In addition to Wonder and Keys, Mariah Carey, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin SparksVivica Fox, Forest Whitaker, director Spike Lee, and talk show host Oprah Winfrey joined mourners at the church to pay their respects.

Soul legend and longtime family friend Aretha Franklin was noticeably absent - the "Respect" hitmaker was forced to pull out as a guest and performer just hours before the event due to health issues.

The touching ceremony opened with a performance by a mass choir singing "The Lord is My Shepherd" as Pastor Joe A. Carter greeted mourners.

Grammy Award-winning gospel singer and minister Donnie McClurkin then sang Houston family favorite "Stand", and filmmaker Tyler Perry stepped up to the podium and told the crowd, "Say whatever you want, God was for her and she is resting, singing with the angels."

Gospel star BeBe Winans fought back tears as he broke into a rendition of "Home", while Bishop T.D. Jakes, who produced Houston's upcoming movie Sparkle, delivered a heartfelt speech and singer Kim Burrell belted out a specially-dedicated cover of Sam Cooke classic "A Change Is Gonna Come" to her late friend, remembering the singer's roots, rise to success, and untimely passing.

Actor Costner broke his silence about Houston's death to express his sadness at the tragic loss of his Bodyguard co-star, stating, "Whitney returns home today to the place where it all began. And I urge us all inside and outside, across the nation and around the world to dry our tears, suspend our sorrow, and perhaps our anger, just long enough to remember the sweet miracle of Whitney."

And he continued, devastated by the idea that their friendship had been cut far too short.

He said, "I was your pretend bodyguard once, not too long ago and now you're gone, too soon, leaving us with memories, memories of a little girl who stepped bravely in front of this church, in front of the ones that loved you first, in front of the ones that loved you best, and loved you the longest. Then bolder you stepped into the white hot light of the world stage, and what you did is the rarest of achievements, you set the bar so high, that professional singers, your own colleagues, they don't want to sing that little country song ("I Will Always Love You"), what would be the point? Now the only ones who sing your song are young girls... who are dreaming of being you one day... So off you go Whitney, off you go."

Costner's moving speech received a standing ovation from mourners.

An emotional Keys then took to the piano to perform "Prelude to a Kiss" and she choked back tears as she said, "I was just thinking about the way that it's so obvious that she just crept into everybody's heart and the way that she was such a beautiful human being. Really, really caring, beautiful, thoughtful, human being."

Longtime mentor and music producer Davis followed and kept his composure as he addressed the attendees: "I can't tell you how moved, touched, inspired I am today by feeling the spirit in this great church and feeling the faith, it's helping me with my grief and my heavy heart... Personally, all I can say is that I loved her, very much. Whitney was purely and simply, one of a kind."

Musical tributes continued with R&B star R. Kelly, who crooned "I Look to You", and Stevie Wonder, who paused to say, "This is such an emotional moment, I just want to stop and give our praise to God for allowing me to be in life at the same time as Whitney."

The ceremony was brought to a close with final goodbyes by the tragic beauty's sister-in-law and former manager Patricia Houston and singer Warwick, as CeCe Winans - Bobbi Kristina's godmother - brought down the house with an uplifting performance of "Don't Cry".

Winans ended the service by leading the church in song as she crooned a portion of Houston's favorite church hymn "Jesus Loves Me" and her brother, Pastor Marvin Winans, delivered a touching eulogy and rousing sermon.

The crowd then rose to stand for the final procession as Houston's casket was carried out of the building to her classic hit "I Will Always Love You". A heartbroken Ray J was seen reaching out to touch the casket as it passed by his church pew and had to be comforted by his sister Brandy as he broke down in tears.

The legend will be laid to rest on Sunday next to her father John Russell Houston, Jr. at the Fairview Cemetery.

Houston was found dead in her hotel room bathtub at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles last Saturday, aged 48. A cause of death has yet to be determined, but Los Angeles police officials have ruled out foul play.

BeBe Winans Still Stunned Over Whitney Houston's Death

Gospel star BeBe Winans was stunned to learn of his friend Whitney Houston's death as he was convinced she was "making it through the storm" of her past drug problems.

The "I Will Always Love You" singer, who had a history of substance abuse, was found unconscious and underwater in a bathtub in her Los Angeles hotel room last Saturday.

An autopsy performed on Sunday proved inconclusive and the cause of death has been deferred pending the results of toxicology tests, although reports suggest alcohol and prescription pills could have played a part in the tragedy.

A week on, Winans is still struggling to come to terms with the singing superstar's sudden death, because Houston was feeling so positive about life.

He tells CNN talk show host Piers Morgan, "I think the shock is great because we walked through, I think a darker valley five, 10 years ago. And so, at this point in time... it was, 'Oh, we're making it through the storm', you know?...

"I lost my brother at the age of 48... Whitney was there at the funeral and everything else. And one of the therapists told me... 'It's just hard for us to wrap our minds and accept lower numbers.'

"We can accept when loved ones die at 75 and 80. But when it's 48, when it's 13, it's just hard to wrap our minds around it because we believe that we're going to grow old together, and we believe with this beautiful lady (Houston) that we would grow old together.

"The reality is now, I have to let go, you know? That reality, she'll live in our hearts... and the fond memories get us through this difficult time. But I have to let go of what we thought we would do."

Winans also reveals that Houston found it hard to accept her stardom, adding: "She tried to run away from it. It's wild to one day wake up and the whole world is chasing you.

"She had just played me 'I Will Always Love You' in the hotel room and I said, 'Whitney, that's going to be incredible, it's going to be huge'. She looked at me and said, 'Oh, I knew it'. I said, 'Why are you sighing? Why are you acting like that?' She said, 'BeBe, because the same people who are applauding me with this, are going to be the same people who are going to throw darts at me'."

 

Bobby Brown Honors Whitney Houston At Post-Funeral Concert

Bobby Brown paid tribute to his ex-wife Whitney Houston on stage at a gig in Connecticut just hours after he walked out of her funeral on Saturday.

The late singer's famous friends and family members gathered at a church in Newark, New Jersey to honor her memory, but Brown was seen leaving the service after just 20 minutes.

He subsequently released a statement blaming his premature departure on seating issues, and he took to the stage with his New Edition bandmates in Connecticut later that evening as planned.

During the show at the Mohegan Sun Arena, Brown took a moment to remember his ex-wife and received a standing ovation from the crowd as he raised a finger to the sky and said, "Blessings to my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. I love you," according to E! Online.

He is due back on stage at the Newark PAC venue in New Jersey on Sunday.

So if your dog is has these traits then you should call them what they are. American Bullies/Ban Dogs and breed them with those types of dogs. By calling your Blue/Grey dogs APBT's you do a dis-service to APBT's, American Bullies, and your dogs. This is like giving your dog an identity crisis because those that know about APBT's will laugh at your claim, mocking your dog, calling them PetBulls, Bull Shits, etc, instead of Pit Bulls.  Anything Blue or Grey should not be confused with an APBT. If a APBT is what you want then do your research and one. If you don't believe this claim, call a repetual APBT breeder, tell them what you think you have and they will tell you what you actually have. Also a repetual APBT breeder will not have any Blue/Grey dogs in their yard.

Adele Sweeps; Foo Fighters & Kanye West Dominate The Grammys (Full List Of Winners)

Just as predicted, British songstress Adele dominated the 2012 Grammys, from a rousing performance of her hit "Rolling In The Deep" to sweeping all six categories in which she was nominated.

She picked up the pre-ceremony awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Short Form Music Video for "Rolling in the Deep", along with the awards for Record Of The Year ("Rolling in the Deep"), Album Of The Year ("21"), Song Of The Year ("Rolling in the Deep") and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Someone Like You"; but Adele wasn't the only big winner at this year's awards ceremony.

Foo Fighters, Skrillex and Kanye West were already big winners at the Grammys on Sunday night before the ceremony got underway.

Dave Grohl's rock act picked up four awards at a pre-event ceremony, including Best Rock Song for "Walk" and Best Rock Album for "Wasting Light", while West and Skrillex were triple winners.

West landed awards for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song ("All of The Lights") and Best Rap Album ("My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy"), along with a co-award with Jay-Z for their single "Otis" from their collaboration "Watch The Throne.

Electronic star Skrillex picked up trophies for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica Album ("Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites").

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band got what is sure to be a very emotional Grammy Awards off to rousing start in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The Boss made no mention of the Whitney Houston tragedy that was hanging over the ceremony and raced into a ferocious rendition of new song "We Take Care of Our Own".

Springsteen and his bandmates were joined by a string orchestra onstage at the Staples Center as the rocker belted out the patriotic tune with an angry snarl throughout.

Introducing the song, he growled, "America, are you alive out there?"

Once the stirring performance was over, LL Cool J, the Grammys' first host in seven years, took to the stage.

He took a somber, serious tone as he addressed Houston's passing and said, "There is no way around this; we've had a death in our family, and so at least for me the only thing that feels right is to begin with a prayer for a woman who we loved, for our fallen sister Whitney Houston."

He bowed his head and stated, "Heavenly father, we thank you for sharing our sister Whitney with us. Today our thoughts are with her mother, her daughter and all of her loved ones, and although she is gone too soon we remain truly blessed to have been touched by her beautiful spirit and to have her lasting legacy of music to cherish and share forever. Amen."

The rapper/actor then introduced footage of Houston performing "I Will Always Love You" at the Grammy Awards in 1994, adding, "Whitney, we will always love you."

LL then welcomed Brits Adele and Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood to the Grammys and asked, "Are we all ready for music's biggest night?"

Bruno Mars then kept the party going with another rousing performance as the event's organizers and performers attempted to get past the sadness surrounding Houston's death on the eve of the Grammys.

Highlights of the night included Rihanna's pumped-up rendition of "We Found Love" and Coldplay's struggles with their song "Paradise" - before a huge day-glo backdrop. Off-key and croaky, frontman Chris Martin battled through the song, fighting the bad cold that has prompted the band to scrap upcoming Australian tour dates.

Other major performance highlights included Katy Perry's fiery first TV appearance since her December marriage split, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney, who was given a standing ovation for his performance of new romantic standard "My Valentine" from his new album "Kisses on the Bottom". McCartney also closed the show with a rocking, guitar-heavy "Abbey Road" medley of "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End" that featured Joe Walsh, Dave Grohl and Springsteen.

The night's most bizarre performance came from Nicki Minaj as she debuted a new alter-ego, called Roman, during a strange performance art piece inspired by horror film The Exorcist. Minaj appeared to levitate as dancers dressed as monks and a man pretending to be a bishop watched on.

The 2012 Grammys will be remembered for its all-star tributes - to Etta James, 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Glen Campbell, the Beach Boys, who kicked off their 50th anniversary celebrations with a rendition of summer anthem Good Vibrations at the ceremony, and Houston, who passed away in a Los Angeles hotel on the eve of music's big night.

During the 'In Memoriam' part of the broadcast that honors the artists the recording industry loses each year Jennifer Hudson knocked out a rousing performance of "I Will Always Love You" in tribute to the late Houston, despite reports that the singer had struggled with emotions during rehearsals.

After Adele was presented with the Grammy for Album of the Year ("21") by none other than Diana Ross, Paul McCartney closed out the show with a classic performance of the Beatles' "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End".

Bobby Brown On Whitney's Death: 'We Will Get Through This Tradegy As A Family'

Whitney Houston's Autopsy Completed 

Bobby Brown has spoken out following his daughter Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization on Sunday, insisting the teenager will pull through her mother Whitney Houston's tragic death with the help of family.

The 18 year old was taken from the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles on a stretcher after suffering from anxiety issues a day after Houston was found dead at the same hotel.
Her singer dad cancelled a New Edition gig in Tennessee to be by her side, and he is determined to help Bobbi Kristina "get through" the tragedy.
In a statement to Extra, he says, "Today my daughter did visit with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has been released and is presently with my family, including her siblings.
"Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her, however, we will get through this tragedy as a family. Again, I ask for privacy during this time."
Brown and Houston divorced in 2007 after 15 years of marriage. Bobbi Kristina is their only child.

homework before we acted first.
I did the same thing with a German Shepherd female. She was sorta a rescue situation.  She was the prettiest thing I had seen in a

Took her home, promised I wouldn't part with her.  Order a pedigree and not one name had any title, health clearance, or kennel
name beside some BYBer's name.  It really didn't matter because we didn't plan on breeding her. However, it was a shock to find out
